Our story
Sira Verde was born from a simple conviction: Tunisia produces some of the world's greatest olive oils, and it's time they bore their real name.
A land of olive trees for 3,000 years
Long before labels and competitions, the Phoenicians and then the Romans were already planting olive trees on Tunisian soil. Today Tunisia counts over one and a half million hectares of olive groves and ranks among the world's top producers every year.
The paradox: much of this exceptional production leaves the country in bulk, to be bottled elsewhere under other flags. For decades, Tunisian know-how has fed brands that never mention its origin.
Chetoui, our variety
We chose Chetoui, the emblematic cultivar of northern Tunisia, renowned for its aromatic intensity and exceptional polyphenol content: the compounds behind both the peppery character of a great oil and its nutritional value.
Picked green at the start of the season, our olives yield less oil, but a livelier, fresher, more expressive one. That is the price of high standards, and we pay it gladly.
From Tunisia to Mexico
Sira Verde works directly with the estate, without intermediaries. Every batch is lab-tested and every bottle leaves the source in glass or tins that protect the oil from light.
We are now bringing our oil to Mexico, with a Spanish label and six formats designed for gourmet stores, supermarkets, restaurants and hotels. We are looking for partners who share our standards.
